Once you walk in, it's like you traveled back in time to the 70s lol... the chairs and the tables look like they were there since they opened. Self seating (at least during lunch on weekday). We went with small pizza, med antipasto salad with Italian dressing and small spaghetti with meatballs. The pizza is where it's at, the curst was awesome and having ordered the small, you got your four corner pizza, so no fighting. Though we over did it on the toppings, it was good. The med salad could have fed 3-4 people, the Italian dressing was awesome, but too much cheese. The spaghetti was decent, the noodles were over cooked, sauce was ok, but the meatball was delicious. The level of the service will depend on who you get... our waitress was awesome.

Better than buddies. Has a better tomato's sauce but less crispy for crust. Overall a great pizza that will satisfy your needs

Detroit style pizza is the superior pizza in my heart. I have always been a Buddy's girl, but after trying Loui's for the first time, it might have Buddy's beat pizza wise. It is so rich and cheesy- oozing with flavor. Only had one and a half slices when I came in confident I could eat a whole small pizza. I'm telling you it is DENSE. Got green olives and they were so salty which is a huge win in my book. Waitress was so sweet, and the place overall made for a very special 80th birthday for my grandma which I will never forget. The walls are covered head to toe in personalized wine holders that are older than me. If you look too close, they are caked in dust (oops) but it really just adds to the charm, huh!

There was two of us, we split an individual antipasto salad, small cheese bread and large pizza. It was all delicious, the restaurant makes you feel like you're going back in time. The wait staff is busy and attentive. We went Saturday night at 6:30 and it was a 45 minute wait, it was worth waiting. We had so much pizza and cheese bread left over and it reheats great! Large portions and the ranch is homemade, so delicious!

This pizza is delicious- dare I say one of the best in the Detroit area!! Outside of a classic salad I have never ordered anything else here so I cannot speak on the other menu items, however the pizza is so good I don't see why you would want anything else! This is a louder type restaurant, TV's playing and typically louder and more busy crowd- although the few times I've been here at dinner time I have not had to wait. The service was very efficient; I ordered salad and pizza and within a couple minutes salad was out and less than 10 minutes our entire pizza was ready too. Outside of the outstanding pizza, this place is pretty cute. I'm not sure if they still do this, but they used to allow you to write on and hang any large bottle you ordered on the wall, serving as a very cute and sentimental decoration.

I am so glad I finally tried Loui's!!!! We started with the antipasto salad. It's one of the best salad dressings I've ever had!!!!! This salad is a must. We also ordered a small cheese bread which was not small at all, it was huge and very tasty! We of course got the pizza too and man was it cheesy!!! If you love a cheesy pizza this is for you. I loved my visit! The restaurant is adorable on the inside... so much charm. I will definitely be back.

Like or love Detroit style deep dish? You'll love this place. The pizza is so good, with crunchy cheesy edges that Detroit style edges. There's a reason this place is still so busy, has so many 5 star reviews and and has been around since 1954. Step back in time when come here, has that 50's/60's restaurant vibe with the pinkish glitter ceiling in the main dining room. We had the antipasto salad too. If you don't like a lot of dressing, you might want it on the side. We were celebrating my son's birthday, and our server brought us some ice cream for dessert too! Looking forward to going back!

After a four nap, I was ready to be fed again. What do you do for lunch when you're in Detroit? You get pizza. That's just what you do. I ordered from Loui's because it was only 10 mins from our place and they offered a small pizza. Paid over the phone with a credit card and they brought out the pizza to my fiancé's car. The pizza took about 25-30 mins to make. The edges of the crust was so crispy - loved it. It was not very saucy so if you like more sauce, ask for it. The pepperoni was placed directly on the crust, then cheese, other toppings and then finally the sauce. 100% recommend Loui's.
